The Craft M&A Approach

We chose "craft" as a name for our firm because our high-touch advisory services are akin to a handmade craft made with patience, attention to detail and expertise. 

We have no cookie-cutter solutions to offer. Every transaction is unique and we take a clean slate approach.  This allows us to keep an open mind and be as creative as possible, unrestricted by biases and preconceptions. We let our clients concerns and objectives guide our approach so that we plan accordingly.

We take ownership with every engagement and we are passionate about helping our clients. If our clients win then we also win. For this reason, our fees are structured in alignment with our clients interests.

About the Managing Director

After graduating from the University of Texas in 2005, with a major in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Business, Raul began his professional career as an investment banking analyst in Citigroup's Latin America group in New York City. During his tenure, he participated in numerous successful M&A deals throughout the region, including landmark deals such as the sale of Grupo IMSA to Ternium in 2007 for US$3.1 billion and the acquisition of Consorcio Aeromexico by Banamex in 2007 for US$187 million.

During his time at Citi, Raul worked with clients from various industries including Transportation & Logistics, Metals & Mining, Financial Institutions, Consumer Products, Construction Services, Industrials, Pharmaceuticals, Energy & Power, and Telecommunications. Some of his past clients include Grupo Imsa, Cemex, Grupo Alfa, Grupo Mexico, Hipotecaria Su Casita, Bacardi Limited, and Banamex.

After earning his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2011, he founded several companies in technology, consumer products, and real estate. In addition to leading Craft, he manages a portfolio of single-family rentals in Texas.
